Event Description:
The Big Sting country music festival is headed to Watson Lake, just north of downtown Prescott, Arizona October 12-15, 2017. The event will showcase local and national country music artists. About: The Big Sting is a Country Music Festival Weekend Campout benefiting the Shadows Foundation. A local, nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization located in Flagstaff, AZ. The Shadows Foundation serves families in need during life threatening conditions. This event combines good people, country music, and a great cause. Meet the Friday Lineup: This year’s Big Sting has two full days of country music. Starting off with Tim Allen Zobel, Shari Rowe, Mogollon, The County Line, and J Michael Harter. Closing out Friday night are Ty Herndon, Wade Hayes and featuring D Vincent Williams & Nashville Allstars. Herndon is a Grammy-nominated and Dove award- winning recording artist with over two decades in country music. Hayes, an inspiring singer-songwriter from Nashville. His debut single “Old Enough to Know Better” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Track chart. Herndon and Hayes will be joined by D Vincent Williams & Nashville Allstars. Williams is one of Nashville’s most well-known songwriters. He’s written for artists including Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Randy Travis, ad Kenny Rodgers. Meet the Saturday Lineup: Featuring National Headliner Rodney Atkins, known for his songs, “Take a Back Road,” “Watching You,” “These are my People,” and “Farmer’s Daughter.” Atkins is a veteran country music artist known for his backroads, small town roots. Atkins will be joined by The County Line, Katelyn Snyder, Calvin Rainwater, Ryan Bexley, The Cole Trains featuring Ryan Bexley, Drew Cooper, and Tim Hurley. Location Details: The Big Sting will be held at Watson Lake, located just north of Prescott. Watson Lake is approximately 1 ½ hours from Flagstaff, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 4 hours from Tucson. Tickets: General Admission tickets are $25 for a Friday pass $25 for a Saturday pass, or $50 for a Weekend pass. Campsites are purchased separately. GA passes get you lawn seating and entrance into the concert area. Campsites: There are several campsites passes still available. The Bee Hive Campsite is a 50x20 campsite. The Big Stinger is a premium small RV campsite for RV no longer than 35ft. It comes with a BBQ and picnic table. The Little Stinger is a premium tent campsite.
