The Chino Valley Farmers Market (CVFM) will welcome customers for its 11th summer season each Thursday beginning June 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Olsen's Grain. Since 1997, PFM has operated markets of various sizes in several locations in the Quad City area. ?A farmers market is a unique place. It's so much more than your regular grocery store. It's a gathering place for delicious food grown, harvested, and cooked by our neighbors. When you buy foods at the market, you can trust that you?re buying it from the person who grew or made it. It?s great to know that my food comes from the same amazing place I like to call home,? said PFM Market Manager JB Del Campo. Each week at the market, customers can find a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, baked goods, eggs, nuts, grass-fed beef, pork and poultry. Local farmers grow a variety of vegetables throughout the season, including leeks, potatoes, beets, radishes, carrots, salad mix, squash, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons. CVFM is a producer-only farmers market, meaning every item sold is either grown or produced by the seller using Arizona-grown ingredients. Prescott Farmers Market has operated the market in Chino Valley for 11 years. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food.
